Hire D7629 or 47765 for your events

If you are planning a diesel gala or special event, D7629 or 47765 may be that attraction you are looking-for. Whether you need short-term hire for a specific event, or for a period of months, these locomotives are available for hire.

D7629

The loco is operational in 2006, having just completed a thorough external overhaul and repaint into two-tone green livery. Class 25 is always a popular attraction for Diesel galas, being small enough to have to work hard on heritage railways, producing the sights and sounds that your visitors will enjoy. D7629 is dual braked.

47765

47765 is also expected to re-enter traffic in 2006. The loco was bought from EWS in 2005 and moved to GCRN in August of that year. The loco is dual braked and has operational ETH.

Moving D7629 or 47765

Both locomotives are available to be moved by road, GCRN having good facilities for loading and unloading. Your contractor must be one of my approved hauliers. GCRN is also connected to Network Rail. Either locomotive would require appropriate fitness to run and ultrasonic paperwork, which would be provided at your cost.

Crewing

We have fully qualified crews for these locomotives (which can be provided as necessary) and would normally expect a member of our team to be on-hand for all running. However, for longer hire periods, it may be advantageous to qualify your crews to operate these locomotives.

Hire Fees

I entertain hire fees on a per-day or per mile basis and can tailor fees to suit your requirements.
