D7629 makes history at GCRN- 26/8/06

GCRN does not possess a loop at Loughborough, nor at Ruddington. This has forced the railway into operating push-pull for a number of years. A re-think with respect to the use of existing facilities and locomotives has opened-up the possibilities of eradicating the propelling of trains. An opportunity to run-round the train occurred on August 26th 2006, and was successful in all respects. This paves the way for improved operation in 2007 and beyond.
